1. First, ensure that you have the latest version of וואצאפ. If not, update it from your phone's app store.
2. Make sure that the contact you want to add is saved in your phone's address book. וואצאפ only recognizes contacts saved on your phone.
3. Open וואצאפ and go to the 'Chats' tab.
4. Click on the 'New Chat' icon at the bottom right corner.
5. Click on 'New Contact'.
6. Enter the contact's information and save it.
7. Go back to the 'Chats' tab, the contact you just saved should appear there.
8. If the contact does not appear, it might be that they don't have a וואצאפ account.
9. If you're sure the contact has וואצאפ, try refreshing your contact list. Go to וואצאפ > More options > Refresh.
10. If the issue persists, try restarting your phone or reinstalling the וואצאפ app.
